Information technology competence
This generic skill requires, at a graduate level the ability to apply appropriate discipline - specific software to provide solutions to questions (CQU, 2010).
This includes the solutions to questions by using web quests, wiki's, blogs, websites, PowerPoint and search engines to inquire and investigate.
As courses completed at university have the 8 graduate attributes embedded into their learning, I have the ability to use general software to advance personal learning, to independently use discipline specific software to explore and interpret information such from sites such as CQUniversity's Moodle site and I also have the ability to apply this software knowledge to provide solutions to questions.
I have obtained my ICT certificate by successfully completing a Managing e-learning course which developed and strengthened my ICT skills. Evidence of these professional skills are in this blog presentation which showcases some of the technology available in this information age. The skills and technology learnt and applied in this course will motivate and engage students with diverse learning styles and different levels of ICT experience.
