Definition of communication:
CQUniversity define the graduate attribute of communication at a graduate level as:
The ability to formulate and communicate views to develop an academic argument in a specific discipline (CQU, 2010).
I believe I have developed a high level of communication skills including oral,written and ICT communication. As a CQUniversity graduate my communications skills are well developed in report writing, discussions, oral presentations, collaborative team work and assorted forms of ICT communication including emails, wikis, websites and web quests.
As commented by one of my lecturers : " A great strength of yours is the sensitive way in which you communicate with a wide range of people; lecturers, students, classroom teachers, leaders and school personnel".(Personal communication, 2011)
Employability Skills Framework identifies communication as the skill that contributes to productive and harmonious relations across employees and customers ( DEST, 2002)

Degree specific skills
During my practical experiences I have required the skills of listening and understanding, speaking clearly and directly, reading and interpreting documentation, sharing information and very importantly writing to the needs of an audience . Emphasising, negotiating responsively, persuading effectively and establishing networks has also been evident in my achievements and success as a preservice teacher (Australian Government, 2006).
As commented on by in my Embedded Professional Learning (EPL) " Catherine has developed ongoing relationships with colleagues. A strength of her partnership building was displayed by the reaction of students on the last day of her practical block. Excellent work in this regard. (Personal communication, 2011)
